Transplanting/Repotting in January

If you have any transplanting to do in your yard, January is a good time to do it. When transplanting, make sure not to replant lower than the original soil line and cut back the top of the plant about one quarter to compensate for the root loss after replanting.

For indoor plants, repot them now if they are root bound.
